Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview (3/7)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Ohio Valley Conference way officially kicks off for the Tennessee Tech baseball team this weekend, with the Golden Eagles playing host to SIUE in a three-game slate scheduled to begin Friday, Mar. 8.
DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, FIRST PITCH HAS BEEN PUSHED BACK TO A 7:00 P.M. CT START ON FRIDAY.
All three games are currently scheduled to be streamed live on ESPN+. Game two of the series will kick off Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. while the series finale is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start on Sunday.
With inclement weather expected in the area throughout the weekend, fans are encouraged to check social media and the TTUSports.com website for updates concerning this weekend's schedule and streaming schedule.
Tech enters the weekend winners of its last four contests. The Golden Eagle offense came alive in those four games, averaging 11.8 runs per contest and punctuated by a 23-run outburst at Alabama A&M on Tuesday.
The Tech pitching staff has been strong to start the season, putting forth a 4.26 ERA collectively, while also racking up league-high 113 strikeouts in just 95 innings of work.
