Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview (2/25)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team wraps up its four-game road swing Tuesday afternoon, making the relatively short drive west for an in-state battle with long-time foe Middle Tennessee in a 3:00 p.m. CT tilt.
Tech will look to rebound after falling three times at South Alabama over the weekend with its first midweek match-up of the season. Last week's midweek contest at No. 14 Clemson was postponed until April due to inclement weather. Fans should keep on eye on junior Anthony Carrera, who is swinging a hot bat after hitting for the cycle on Sunday. He became just the third Golden Eagle in the past 25 years to accomplish the feat.
The Golden Eagles will look to get the offense going against a strong pitching unit so far for the Blue Raiders. Middle Tennessee has surrendered just five earned runs this season and 11 overall, sporting a miniscule 0.80 ERA.
