No. 21 Tech baseball team to take on in-state foe Belmont in Nashville

Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview (5/3)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 21 ranked Tennessee Tech baseball team will make its annual trek down I-40 to Nashville for a three-game, Ohio Valley Conference series with in-state rival Belmont this weekend. Due to impending inclement weather expected in the area, Friday's contest has been moved up to a 4:30 p.m. CT start.

Saturday's game two is scheduled for a 2 p.m. first pitch and the series finale is slated for a 1 p.m. start on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to check social media and the TTUSports.com website for updates concerning this weekend's schedule.

The Golden Eagle offense has continued its record-setting pace in 2018, leading the nation in batting average (.356), doubles per game (2.56), hits (573), home runs (98), home runs per game (2.28), on base percentage (.451), runs (474), scoring (11.0), slugging percentage (.625) and win/loss percentage (.860). The Golden Eagles also rank second in doubles (110), sixth in base on balls (255) and 23rd in triples (15).
