Top two teams in OVC set to battle as No. 20 Tech hosts Southeast Missouri

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 20 ranked Tennessee Tech baseball team will play host to Ohio Valley Conference rival Southeast Missouri for a three-game weekend series, looking to extend the nation's longest winning streak beginning on Friday, Apr. 27 at 6 p.m. CT at Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex. 

Game two is slated for a 2 p.m. CT start at Quillen Field Saturday afternoon while Sunday will begin at 1 p.m. Tech enters play winners of 26 straight games and fresh off a nice road victory at Tennessee, a 7-6 decision in Knoxville.

The Golden Eagle offense has continued its record-setting pace in 2018, leading the nation in batting average (.357), doubles per game (2.70), hits (538), home runs (97), home runs per game (2.43), on base percentage (.454), runs (455), scoring (11.4), slugging percentage (.641) and win/loss percentage (.875). The Golden Eagles also rank second in doubles (108), third in base on balls (245), 12th in triples (15), 16th in triples per game (0.38) and 23rd in strikeouts per nine innings (9.5).
