Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview (3/19)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team is slated for a pair of midweek match-ups this week, beginning with a 6 p.m. CT contest on Tuesday against Alabama A&M at Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex.
The Golden Eagles will then head to Kodak, Tenn. for a neutral site battle against Western Carolina at Smokies Stadium, home of the Tennessee Smokies. First pitch in the contest is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
With rain and inclement weather expected in the area this week, fans are encouraged to check social media and the TTUSports.com website for updates concerning this week's schedule.
The Golden Eagle offense is off to a record-setting pace in 2018, leading the nation in batting average (.351), doubles per game (3.05), home runs (40), home runs per game (2.11), slugging percentage (.621) and scoring (10.9). Tech also ranks second nationally in both hits (249) and runs (207), third in on base percentage (.441) and fourth in doubles (58).
