No. 1 seeded Golden Eagles head to Oxford, Ala. for OVC Tournament

Tennessee Tech Baseball OVC Tournament Preview  (5/17)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It's time for the postseason for the Tennessee Tech baseball team, as the Golden Eagles will make their way south to Oxford, Ala. for the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament from Tuesday, May 23 through Sunday, May 28.

Hosted at Choccolocco Park, Tech enters the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed after capturing its ninth OVC regular season championship in program history. The OVC Tournament will open Tuesday evening with a single-elimination contest between the No. 7 seeded Austin Peay Governors and No. 8 seeded UT Martin Skyhawks.

The Golden Eagles will receive a bye into the third round of the tournament, not playing their first contest until Thursday, May 25 at 12:30 p.m. CT. Tech will face off against the winner between the No. 4 seeded Jacksonville State Gamecocks and No. 5 Southeast Missouri Redhawks.

All tournament action will be broadcast live on the OVC Digital Network while select Golden Eagle contests will be available on 106.1 The Eagle with Dylan Vazzano on the call.

Fans are encouraged to follow social media, the TTUsports.com and OVCsports.com websites for updates concerning any game time changes or delays with inclement weather expected in the Oxford area throughout the week.
