Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview  (4/10)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team makes a visit to Nashville Tuesday night, taking on in-state foe Vanderbilt for the first time since the 2015 campaign in a 6:30 p.m. CT match-up at Hawkins Field.

Last year's scheduled meeting between the two programs was cancelled due to inclement weather, snapping a six-year stretch the two teams had met in Nashville.

The Golden Eagles' last victory over the Commodores came back on Apr. 16, 2013, a 10-9 thriller over the then No. 2 ranked Vanderbilt squad. Since the 2013 season Vanderbilt and Tech own the most victories by Division I institutions in the state of Tennessee. The Commodores boast 220, backed by their NCAA Championship in 2015. The Golden Eagles own 162 wins, 17 more than the next closest program.

Fans are encouraged to follow social media and the TTUsports.com website for updates concerning start times and delays due to weather.
