Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview  (3/23)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will put its eight-game win streak to the test Tuesday evening, making the 100-mile trip east down I-40 for a midweek match-up with in-state foe Tennessee.

First pitch is scheduled for a 5 p.m. CT start at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, pitting the red-hot Golden Eagles against the Vols for third time in the past four seasons. Tech will look to collect its first win over Tennessee since 2012, a 5-1 decision in Knoxville.

The Golden Eagles averaged a whopping 15 runs per game to post a 5-0 record last week, tying the school record for best start to Ohio Valley Conference play with a 9-0 mark. Tech's 20-6 start marks the second best under head coach Matt Bragga, trailing just the 2014 squad's 21-5 record.

Fans are encouraged to follow social media and the TTUsports.com website for updates concerning start times and delays due to weather.
