COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – You couldn't really ask for a better way to finish the regular season than the way senior Jake Farr did for the Tennessee Tech baseball team. The second baseman took home adidas® OVC Co-Player of the Week honors after helping the Golden Eagles to a perfect 4-0 week to round out the regular season schedule.

In that span, Farr hit .467 (7-for-15) with three runs scored, a double, triple, six RBI, a .667 slugging percentage and .556 on-base percentage. He opened the week by going 2-for-3 with two RBI in a non-conference victory over UNC Asheville.

In the team's three-game sweep of Eastern Kentucky, the senior drove in at least one run in each game including a game-winning walk-off hit in the first game of the series. In the series finale he was 3-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and run scored as Tech completed the sweep.

The honor represented the first in the two-year career of Tech's second baseman and came after he helped his team clinch its fourth straight Ohio Valley Conference Tournament berth. He also led his team to its third consecutive victory on Senior Day, a 7-5 decision over EKU on Saturday.

On the year, Farr ranks third on the Tech squad with a .332 average, 73 hits, and 45 RBI. He has played and started 52 of the team's 53 contests during the year, scoring 51 times with 10 doubles and a career-high six home runs. He owns 21 walks and has been plunked 10 times, equaling a .414 on base percentage.

The No. 5 seeded Golden Eagles will now set their sites on the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and a 1 p.m. CT match-up with No. 4 seed Morehead State on Wednesday, May 25 at the Ballpark at Jackson in Jackson, Tenn.
