Red-hot Golden Eagles to host OVC leading Jacksonville State in three-game series

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The winner of its previous five contests, the red-hot Tennessee Tech baseball team will put its momentum up against its toughest test to date this weekend, playing host to Ohio Valley Conference's top squad, Jacksonville State, in a three-game set starting Friday at 6 p.m. CT.

The series will continue Saturday with a 2 p.m. match-up while the series finale will commence with a 1 p.m. first pitch Sunday afternoon. Fans can follow all the action this weekend live on the OVC Digital Network with Dylan Vazzano on the call for each contest.

The Golden Eagles enter after claiming a midweek contest over Alabama A&M for the second straight week, the team's fifth consecutive victory. As for the visitors, the Gamecocks are coming off a thrilling, 8-7 victory at Troy that took 16 innings to decide the winner.

Saturday and Sunday will serve as Little League Weekend featuring plenty of activities and fun, including a bounce house, for all to enjoy. Awesome Eagle will throw out Saturday's first pitch while both Awesome and the entire Golden Eagle dance team will be on hand for the festivities.

Admission to all Tech baseball games is free of charge and open to the public.
