Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview (3/17)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time in over a week, the Tennessee Tech baseball team is back at Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex as the Golden Eagles play host to Ohio Valley Conference and in-state rival UT Martin in a three-game set starting Friday evening.
First pitch is set for a 6 p.m. CT start on Friday, marking the first true night contest under the lights for the Golden Eagles this season. Saturday has a start time scheduled for 2 p.m. and Sunday, the series finale, will commence at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles will enter play after returning from a hard-fought and well-deserved, 6-5 victory at Kennesaw State Wednesday evening. The Skyhawks also notched a mid-week victory prior to the series, defeating Alabama A&M, 9-2, on the road on Tuesday.
