COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech baseball team will honor its senior class Saturday prior to the regular season finale against Belmont in Bush Stadium. The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Tech's 2013 senior class includes nine players who will be recognized for their efforts as student-athletes over the past two to four years.
This senior class boasts over 870 games played throughout their combined careers. The group has totaled 105 wins so far as class, including an incredible 59 Ohio Valley Conference victories.
This year's class has led the Golden Eagles to one their best seasons in program history, compiling a 38-14 record, just one victory away from tying the school's single season record. The team has also tied the OVC record for league wins with 23 this season. Most importantly, the squad clinched at least a share of the 2013 OVC regular season title with an 8-5 win over Belmont Thursday evening.
With two games left in the regular season, plus the OVC tournament, this senior class is far from being done, however.
