Golden Eagles look for sixth straight series with visit from Morehead State

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - League play has finally made its way to Cookeville as the Tennessee Tech baseball team (10-6, 2-1) will host an Ohio Valley Conference opponent for the first time this season, welcoming Morehead State (7-9, 2-1) for a three-game set beginning Friday.

The Golden Eagles have already gotten off to a solid start in league play, defeating Eastern Kentucky in two-of-three contests last weekend. Morehead State, also 2-1 in the OVC, is looking just to get through another road contest, having not played at home yet in the 2013 campaign.

The big question of the series is this: Can the Morehead pitchers do what no one else has been able to do? Silence the Golden Eagle bats?

The answer will be determined beginning Friday night at 6 p.m. CDT at Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex. Game two will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. and game three will wrap up the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.

For those fans who can't make it to the ballpark, the Golden Eagle Sports Network will be streaming Friday and Saturday's contests on the OVC Digital Network. Click here to follow the action.
