STOCKTON, Calif. --- Former Tennessee Tech baseball player Chad Oberacker hit for the cycle in the Stockton Ports 9-1 win over the High Desert Mavericks Tuesday.

Oberacker, who earned a promotion to the Ports about a month ago, posted four hits in six at-bats against the Mavericks to complete the fifth cycle in the minor leagues this season.

He began the day with a ground out, but recovered quickly as he posted a single and a three-run shot in his next two plate appearances. He later tallied his first triple of the season, and then finished off the cycle with an RBI-double in the eighth inning.

Oberacker’s four-RBI performance was the second in his last seven games. His four-hit game was also his fifth multi-hit game in his last eight.

On the season, Oberacker is batting .271 for the Ports with three home runs, 14 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has also recorded six stolen bases.

Oberacker was drafted by the Oakland A’s in the 25th round last June and is currently one of five former Golden Eagles playing in the minor leagues. His teammate, A.J. Kirby-Jones also had a good night for the Ports as he finished 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored.
