Golden Eagles travel to Belmont; host Alabama A&M

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Tech baseball team will take a small break from Ohio Valley Conference action as it travels to Belmont and hosts Alabama A&M.

The game against the Bruins is set for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., while the game against the Bulldogs is slated Wednesday at 6 p.m.

With their 1-2 record against OVC rival Jacksonville State, the Golden Eagles (13-17, 5-4 OVC) now sit in a tie for fourth place in the conference standings along with Morehead State.

TTU's offense this past week was paced by Zach Stephens and Zephan Guyear who each tallied two home runs and drove in a combined nine RBI.

Belmont (23-10, 10-2 A-Sun) is currently on a seven-game winning streak, which includes a 6-2 win over Austin Peay, and most recently, a three-game sweep over USC Upstate.

The Bruins have four players with a batting average above .300 including Dylan Craig, who has driven in 22 runs. Greg Brody has tallied a team-high four home runs and 27 runs batted in as well.

Alabama A&M (6-27, 1-14 SWAC) is currently on a five-game losing streak which includes a recent three-game sweep from Alabama State.

Jordan Friend leads the Bulldogs with 13 runs driven in, while Brandyn Crutcher has scored a team-high 18 runs.
