COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Fresh off its recent victory over Lipscomb, the Tennessee Tech baseball team will wrap up its seven-game homestand this weekend with a three-game series against the Dayton Flyers.
The series opens Friday at 3 p.m., with game two scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., and game three set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles are 1-1 all-time against the Flyers with their last meeting coming back in 2008, where the Flyers came away with the 12-1 win.
Several Golden Eagles got in on the scoring parade against Lipscomb, including freshman Dylan Bosheers, who tallied four RBI and the first two home runs of his career.
Austin Wulf has also had a hot bat as he knocked his second home run of the season against Lipscomb to extend his hitting streak to eight games. James Abraham also tallied a homer against the Bisons and drove in four runs.
The Flyers (1-5) have been led by Bobby Glover and CJ Gillman in the batters box. Batting .333 on the season, Glover has tallied nine hits and five RBI, while Gillman has driven in a team-leading seven runs.
