Golden Eagles host Lipscomb Tuesday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Tech baseball team continues its homestand Tuesday as it hosts in-state rival Lipscomb.

The first pitch is set for 3 p.m.

This will be the Golden Eagles eighth game of the season, including their fourth straight at home.

This will be the 63rd meeting betweeen the Bisons and TTU, with the Golden Eagles owning the series edge at 35-27. Tech handed Lipscomb a 12-9 loss in their last meeting in 2011.

Junior Austin Wulf currently leads the TTU hitters with a .379 batting average. So far this season, Wulf has recorded at least one hit in all seven of Tech's games. Sophomore Zach Stephens has driven in a team-leading five RBI, and has notched two home runs as well.

Lipscomb owns a 4-5 record, which includes a pair of loss to Kent State in their last two games.

Lee Wilson tops the Bisons lineup with a .440 batting average and has scored five runs. Zak Messer has put up a .308 batting average and has hit two home runs and driven in a team-high five RBI.
