COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Over the next few weeks, Tennessee Tech’s baseball staff will host the Golden Eagle Elite Baseball Camp, a one-day event that is designed for the serious ball player between the ages of 16 and 18.
This year’s options for camp dates fall on two consecutive Saturdays -- Sept. 18 and Sept. 25 -- and will run from 9 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m.
Held at the Howell W. Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex, camp participants will participate in drills and games lead by the TTU coaching staff and discuss topics such as NCAA Division I recruiting rules and NCAA baseball in general.
Additionally, they will enjoy a tour of the Tennessee Tech campus and athletic facilities as the baseball program continues to build their “tradition of excellence.”
“Our goal of this camp is simply to stress the fundamentals of baseball, and to help each player in different phases of the game,” said head coach Matt Bragga. “We will also stress the importance of positive mental and emotional attitudes, which are not only beneficial to athletes, but are conducive to success in all walks of life.”
