Tennessee Tech baseball coaching staff holds youth league pre-season camp series

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech baseball program is excited to offer a pre-season youth league camp series that will run from February 25-27 and March 4-5. The series will be broken down by position and is intended to help prepare young ball players for the spring season.

The camp will take place after each home game of the first two Golden Eagle weekend series, which offer free admissoin for all fans. This new event is sure to be a valuable experience, with the addition of Golden Eagle Pitching Coach Donnie Suttles, a former pitcher in the Cleveland Indian's organization, and veteran TTU Assistant Coach Justin Hogan.

Coach Suttles will be covering correct pitching mechanics that will add arm strength and teach safe pitching techniques. He will also work with catchers and assist with hitting.

Coach Hogan will cover hitting and fielding techniques for all infield and outfield players.

The cost of the camp is $25 per day for children from ages 7-12.

For more information and or to reserve space, please contact Justin Hogan or Donnie Suttles at (931) 372-6546/jhogan@tntech.edu.

This camp is operated by the coaches of Tennessee Tech. Although the camp may be held on the campus of Tennessee Tech, it is not owned or operated by the University.
