Baseball team holds two more pre-season scrimmages before next week's opener

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech baseball team will be hold two more inter-squad scrimmages this coming weekend before they hit the road to Coastal Carolina for their regular season opening tournament.

On Saturday, the team will face off against one another at 1:00 p.m and encourages the entire Tech community to come out for some pre-season baseball and a sneak peak of this year's team. With weather breaking into the 40's and 50's this weekend and baseball season just around the corner, the scrimmages are a great way to get back outside after the winter weather breaks.

At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday the team will play a second scrimmage, the final pre-season outing before heading to South Carolina for Coastal's season opening tournament. There, they'll face off against Virginia Tech, CCU and Boston College.
