Filling up: Baseball adds clinics on Tuesday nights

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Baseball players who need to add a little "pop" to their bat are invited to attend the Golden Eagle Baseball Four-Week Hitting Clinic being hosted by Tennessee Tech assistant coach Justin Hogan. Introduced just this week, the Monday night sessions are nearly filled so Hogan has added two more sessions on Tuesday nights.

The original clinic will be held each Monday evening for four consecutive weeks, beginning Nov. 15 and running through Dec. 6. There are two different time slots available, with the first nightly sessions from 6-7 p.m., and the second going from 7-8 p.m. The clinic is limited to 12 players per session, and to players ages 13 to 17. The cost is $20 per player.

The added sessions will take place on four consecutive Tuesday nights over the same time period. A "middle school" session for ages 10-12 will be held from 6-7 p.m., while a "high school" session for ages 13-17 will be from 7-8 p.m.

The clinic will be held at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex. To reserve a spot or for additional information, please call (770) 468-3489.

The clinic is operated by the coaches of Tennessee Tech. Although the clinic is held on the Tennessee Tech campus, it is not owned or operated by the University.
