NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Tennessee Tech baseball coach David
Mays, already a member of the TTU Sports Hall of Fame, was inducted
Friday into the Ohio Valley Conference Hall of Fame in Nashville
during the league's annual Honors Luncheon.
The event took place at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown
Nashville.
Awards for Male and Female Athlete of the Year, the Steve Hamilton
Sportsmanship Award, scholarship awards and All-Sports Trophies
were presented. Mays and former Austin Peay Athletic Trainer Chuck
Kimmel were inducted into the OVC Hall of Fame, bringing the Hall's
total membership to 67.

Male Athlete of the Year: Jim Klocke, Southeast
Missouri (baseball)
Female Athlete of the Year: Kandace Arnold,
Eastern Illinois (track and field)
Steve Hamilton Sportsmanship Award: Carrie
Burggraf, Austin Peay (track and field)
Commissioner's Cup: Eastern Illinois
Institutional Sportsmanship Award: Eastern
Kentucky
