Championship tee shirts available
Monday through University Bookstore
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech fans and alumni are invited and
encouraged to attend the games this weekend when the Golden Eagle
baseball team plays in the NCAA Clemson Regional.
Fans who want to follow the Golden Eagles but cannot attend, have a
couple of options, including live TV coverage by CSS, which is
showing every game at the tournament.
Tech captured the 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament
championship, going 4-0 in its visit to Brooks Stadium in Paducah,
Ky., last weekend.
With the tourney title, coach Matt Bragga’s Golden Eagles
also earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament, and will play this
weekend in the Clemson Regional. Tech faces Clemson Friday at 6
p.m. CDT. Alabama and Oklahoma State are the other teams in the
four-team Regional, with the winner advancing to Arizona next week
for a Super Regional.
The entire Clemson Regional will be televised by CSS, which is seen
throughout the Southeast (channel 34 on the Cookeville cable). Matt
Stewart will be doing the play-by-play action, and Rusty Ensor will
be bringing the color commentary.
In addition, the games can be heard live via FREE Teamline, with
Nick Heidelberger and Ben Shannon calling the Golden Eagle action.
The broadcast is available on the Internet (at TTUsports.com) or
the telephone (1-800-846-4700 and team code 0654). There is no
charge for the call.
Clemson will also be providing live stats throughout the weekend on
its website (www.clemsontigers.cstv.com).
To show support of the team, the University Bookstore will begin
selling a specially designed OVC Tournament Championship tee shirt.
The shirts will be available both in the store and online on the
store’s website (www.tenn-tech.bncollege.com) beginning
Monday.
