COOKEVILLE, Tenn - The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team,
along with the volleyball and baseball teams, helped douse TTU
freshmen with purple and gold paint during the Week of Welcome
Purple Mile color run on Sunday. The event was co-sponsored by the
Tech Activities Board and Golden Eagle Athletics.
The run took place on the Main Quad of TTU's campus. Freshmen ran a mile, while being covered in purple and gold powder paint, thrown by Tech student-athletes.
The baseball, volleyball and women's basketball teams took the opportunity to mingle with the new students, and help promote their teams.
The Week of Welcome continues through the whole first week of school. Freshmen are encouraged to participate in the Running of the Freshmen that will take place right before the football home opener versus Cumberland, Thursday at 7 p.m.
