COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Fans will have a new option Tuesday at
Tennessee Tech’s second annual Purple Palooza showcasing the
women’s and men’s basketball teams.
Looking ahead to the 2013-14 season, fans can select their seats
and purchase season tickets on the spot during the evening’s
festivities. All seats in sections C, D, E and L that are still
available for purchase will be marked with a special tag.
Fans can select the seats they like for watching Golden Eagle
basketball, and take the tag from the seat directly to the ticket
office to purchase them for the entire season.
Purple Palooza is expanding to include trick-or-treating for all
participants from 6-7 p.m. Community groups and student
organizations will set up decorated booths around the concourse
where kids can visit for treats in the hour leading up to the
basketball event.
Any group interested in manning a booth can still get space by
contacting Leveda Birdwell in the Marketing Department at
931-372-3940. There is no charge for a booth.
Admission is free for Purple Palooza, which will feature a
scrimmage by each team, introductions of the players and staffs by
head coaches Jim Davis and Steve Payne, plus a three-point and dunk
contest. Several drawings will be held for prizes, and winner will
be awarded for best costumes and best-decorated booths.
