COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech basketball fans can keep up
with the Golden Eagles through a variety of sources, and the Golden
Eagle Sports Network has joined with Cookeville Communications once
again to provide another option -- a weekly radio show featuring
head coaches Jim Davis and Steve Payne.
The program, to be hosted on Fox Sports Radio 106.1 The Eagle by
longtime "Voice of the Golden Eagles" Roger Ealey, will air each
Thursday afternoon as segments during the popular Jim Rome Program.
That national show is on from 2 to 3 p.m. The Tech segments will
begin Thursday and will run through the end of the season. The only
week it will not be aired is Dec. 27.
Davis is in his first season as head coach of the TTU women's team
and directs a team that has been picked to win the Ohio Valley
Conference East Division in 2013. Payne is in his second season as
head coach of the men's team, after serving as associate head coach
for nine seasons. His team is picked third this season in the OVC
East Division.
Both teams will be in action Thursday night in Eblen Center, the
final home games for each squad until January. The women's team
will host Samford at 5:30 p.m. and the men's squad entertains UW
Green Bay at 7:30 p.m. Individual game tickets and season tickets
are on sale at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eble Center or by
calling (931) 372-3940.
