Limited number of 1,200 lower bowl student tickets
available
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – To accommodate what is expected to be a
large demand for student tickets for the Murray State basketball
doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 25, the Tennessee Tech Athletics
Dept. is announcing a ticket plan for TTU students.
All Tech students will still be admitted free to the games, but
for this event students must pick up tickets in advance. Only 1,200
tickets for the student seating sections in the lower bowl are
available.
Beginning Monday (Feb. 13) morning, students may pick up tickets
for the games at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center.
Students must show a valid TTU ID to pick up a ticket, and there is
a limit of one ticket per ID card.
Tech Athletics personnel will also be in the Roaden University
Center Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. until noon for students to
pick up tickets.
“We want to continue to make it easy for our Tech students
to attend our games, but we also want to gauge the number of
students planning to attend the games so we can plan accordingly
and assure they have adequate seating available,” said TTU
Director of Athletics Mark Wilson.
“There is no question that our students fuel the energy and
enthusiasm at our home games in Eblen Center, and we’re
looking forward to a very large number of students attending these
games and making a difference for our women’s and men’s
teams,” Wilson said.
Wilson pointed out that because student attendance and
participation is so vital, 23 percent of all the lower bowl seats
have been designated as student seating.
As always, student seating in sections G, H, I and J will be on a
first-come, first-served basis on the day of the game. Gates will
open at 4:30 p.m., with tipoff for the women’s game at 5:30
p.m. The men’s game will follow, with starting time set for
approximately 7:30 p.m.
Tech officials are also encouraging all fans to wear purple to the
games to exhibit unified support for the Golden Eagles.
