Four honored as 2010 Hall of Fame Class

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- For former Golden Eagle student-athletes were recognized Friday evening at the annual Hall of Fame Dinner, one of the highlights of Tennessee Tech's annual Homecoming festivities. A gathering of 400 filled the Multi Purpose Room at the Roaden University Center for the affair, which celebrated the careers of Steve Hawkins (baseball 1984-87), Diane Seng Haynes (basketball, volleyball, track 1996-2000), Brandy Henry Kleeman (softball 1999-2000) and Gene Palmer (cross country, track 1956-60).

The four will also be recognized Saturday at halftime of the Homecoming football game against Eastern Kentucky in Tucker Stadium. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m.

Their induction brought the total number of members enshrined to 154 since the TTU Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1975.
