GAINESBORO, Tenn. -- The latest Purple Pride Caravan stop was in
Gainesboro Tuesday afternoon, and basketball was the featured
sport. Several Jackson County fans turned out to greet Golden Eagle
players and coaches, and several went home with prizes and free
tickets.
Men's basketball head coach Mike Sutton and assistant DeAntoine
Beasley brought six Golden Eagle players to the event, and fans
enjoyed meeting and talking with the newcomers including Liam
McMorrow, Chase Dunn, Javon McKay, Mitchell Hill, Dennis Ogbe and
Matt Marseille.
Women's basketball assistant coach Stacey Franklin, plus softball
head coach Tory Acheson and assistant coach Terry Acheson were also
on hand to greet fans. Members of the Tech Dance Team were also at
the caravan, and were joined by Awesome Eagle.
The event was held at the Gainesboro Sav-a-lot.
