Dylan Vazzano is in his 10th year as broadcaster and sports information coordinator at Tennessee Tech University, joining the Golden Eagle staff in August 2013. His roles throughout his Tech tenure include radio and television play-by-play broadcaster, host, emcee and reporter, while also playing a pivotal part on the Sports Information staff as a writer, designer and media relations specialist.

Vazzano, a graduate of Syracuse University and native of Los Angeles, is the department's play-by-play voice for all broadcasts on ESPN+, which included calling the action of Golden Eagle football on WCTE, a local television affiliate in the Upper Cumberland. Along with football, TTU athletics streams Golden Eagle baseball, men's and women's basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball on ESPN+.

Vazzano is also the host of the department's official athletics video podcast, Wings Up Weekly, where he catches up with Tennessee Tech coaches, student-athletes, administrators and alumni.

From a radio perspective, Vazzano provides play-by-play of Tech baseball, men’s and women’s basketball and softball on 106.1 The Eagle, while also calling the action of football games on 98.5 KISS FM. For road games, he is the current color commentator alongside Roger Ealey for radio broadcasts of Golden Eagle football, moving up into the booth after spending his first three seasons as sideline reporter. Aside from his television play-by-play of home games and analyst work during road contests, Vazzano’s football broadcast duties include the radio pregame Coach’s Report and Golden Eagle Spotlight segments as well as a live on-field postgame interview with TTU head coach Dewayne Alexander and the player of the game.

Along with his extensive radio work, which includes a daily department update segment, a year-long stint as co-host of a local daily sports talk show on 106.1 The Eagle and the department’s radio engineer, Vazzano is the primary on-camera talent for Golden Eagle Sports Network productions.

During football season, he is the television host of The Dewayne Alexander Show, the official Tennessee Tech football head coach's show that airs weekly on WCTE. The show includes highlights from the week's previous game, a look at the OVC scoreboard, player spotlight and coaching mic'd up segments and a preview of TTU's upcoming opponent.

During basketball season, after each TTU home game, Vazzano conducts live postgame interviews with the Golden Eagle head coach, as well as the player of the game, which run on the video board in the Hooper Eblen Center.

His on-camera hosting and reporting responsibilities include feature pieces, sit-down interviews with players and coaches and standup segments that help highlight the department's 14 athletic programs. Vazzano also serves as the emcee of various TTU athletic banquets and events, including the department's annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, TTU baseball's First Pitch Banquet and the Tech's annual awards show, The Golden Wings Awards.

From a sports information standpoint, Vazzano is the primary media relations contact for Golden Eagle soccer and tennis after spending two years as the Tech softball contact. He also works with every other Golden Eagle team, where his duties include website updates and stories, videos on YouTube and producing content for several publications as a feature writer. Vazzano serves as the voice-over talent for a variety of other Golden Eagle Sports Network video productions, including Hall of Fame induction intros and the Golden Wings Awards' nomination videos.

Vazzano comes to Tech after spending two years as Sports Information Director and Play-By-Play Broadcaster at Menlo College, an NAIA school in the San Francisco Bay Area.

While at Menlo from 2011-13, Vazzano controlled all communication and media relations aspects for the department’s 14 sports, including developing and securing feature stories that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, and Oakland Tribune, all firsts in Menlo Athletics.  As a broadcaster, he provided play-by-play of football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, softball and men’s wrestling, while also serving as the voice of eight different regional and national tournaments.

Vazzano spent five summers from 2010-14 as lead Play-By-Play Broadcaster for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League, the top summer collegiate baseball league in the country.  In his final two summers on the Cape, he was one of the voices of the Cape League All-Star Game that aired on National Public Radio, spending the 2013 game as a color commentator before taking the reigns as play-by-play voice of the 2014 game. In addition, Vazzano has provided color commentary for the Cape’s “Sunday Night Baseball” on WEEI 96.3 FM and was also the first-ever host of Hyannis’ postgame studio show, “Hawk Talk."

Vazzano graduated from Syracuse University in 2010, earning a degree in Writing and Rhetoric.
