Seth Bruton, a Cookeville native with degrees from Tennessee Tech and Belmont, has joined the Golden Eagle Athletics staff as a Coordinator of Facilities and Events. He comes to Tech following two years filling graduate positions at Vanderbilt University and Belmont.

In his position at Tech, Bruton will help with all game management for Tech's home basketball and football games, as well as soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, and tennis. He also will assist in the maintenance all of Tech's athletic facilities.

Bruton is familiar with Tech’s Athletics operations, having served three years as a student manager for the men’s basketball team and one year as an intern in marketing and promotions. He received his bachelor’s degree at Tech in 2013 in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in business management and sport administration.

He served one year in positions at Stratford High School in Nashville, including six months as athletic business manager, while working toward a master’s degree at Belmont University. He was a graduate supervisor in Belmont’s Department of Fitness and Recreation, and also spent two years as a graduate intern in the Vanderbilt Wellness and Recreation Center. He accepted his master’s degree from Belmont in sport administration in May.
