Hannah Gomez is in her first year as an assistant athletic trainer for Tennessee Tech after joining the staff in July 2023. She currently works with the Tech women's basketball program.

Gomez came to Cookeville after spending the last two years at the University of Texas Permian Basin, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Lone Star Conference. As a graduate assistant athletic trainer, Gomez provided primary coverage for the Falcon football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s golf teams.

Throughout her UTPB tenure, Gomez also spent time at both Phy-Tex Physical Therapy and the Odessa Jackalopes, a hockey team out of the NAHL in Odessa, Texas.

Prior to taking her talents to the Lone Star State, Gomez served as a PRN athletic trainer at East Georgia State College in Swainsboro and was an athletic training student at Georgia Southern, where she assisted with the football, baseball, and women’s basketball teams during her time in Statesboro, Ga.

Gomez earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Georgia Southern in 2020 before earning a master’s degree in exercise science from Texas Permian Basin in 2023.
