COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference announced that 283 student-athletes have earned the OVC Academic Medal of Honor for the 2021-22 academic year. This year, Tennessee Tech student-athletes claimed 23 of the 283 awards.
Tech's 23 recipients of the OVC Academic Medal of Honor represent the third-highest total in program history, just one shy of the 2007-08 mark of 24 and last year's record-breaking performance of 29. The OVC Academic Medal of Honor is given annually to the student-athletes who achieve the highest grade point average in a Conference-sponsored sport. Every Academic Medal of Honor recipient for the 2021-22 academic year carried a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Over the past five years, over 1,200 student-athletes have earned the OVC Academic Medal of Honor.
The OVC will announce the recipients of the Commissioner's Honor Roll, the Academic Achievement Award, and the Team Academic Achievement Awards later this week.
