Tennessee Tech Basketball COVID Protocols for 2020-21

2020-21 TENNESSEE TECH BASKETBALL GAMEDAY EXPERIENCE

Tennessee Tech Athletics is pleased to welcome fans, in a limited socially and physically distanced capacity, for the 2020-21 men's and women's basketball season. We are committed to maintaining an enjoyable and safe environment for all fans, players, coaches and staff. We want fans to enjoy the gameday experience but need your help in following the requirements, which allows us to have fans in the Hooper Eblen Center during the ongoing pandemic. Please review the important information below.

  • Parking in the large stadium lot between the Hooper Eblen Center and Tucker Stadium is complimentary on a first-come, first-serve basis. South Lot, the semi-circle and the reserved area in the stadium lot, called the Talon Lot, are reserved and only patrons with the appropriate permits may park in these areas.
  • Handicap parking is available in designated spots on McGee Blvd and off of Willow Avenue at the west entrance. Overflow handicap parking is in the Talon Lot with appropriate handicap tags.
  • There is an ATM located on the main concourse level of the Hooper Eblen Center. The concession areas along the concourse also accept debit/credit cards.
  • Doors open one hour before tip-off, and all persons ages 3 and up must have a valid ticket for entrance.
  • No backpacks, duffle bags, umbrellas, banners, flags, flag poles, coolers, noisemakers, outside food or drink are allowed in the Hooper Eblen Center.
  • In accordance with TCA 39-17-1309 and TTU Policy 422, no weapons of any kind are allowed in the Hooper Eblen Center.
  • No animals or pets of any kind are permitted with the exception of service dogs used by guests with disabilities.
  • Profanity and abusive language are highly discouraged during athletic contests.
  • Guests not adhering to COVID protocol requirements, using profanity or abusive language toward student-athletes, coaches, officials, staff or fellow spectators can have their ticket revoked and be removed from the premises.

COVID PROTOCOL REQUIREMENTS

LIMITED CAPACITY
AND SEATING

Hooper Eblen Center capacity is limited to 2,443 spectators. Teams, officials and essential staff are in addition to spectator limits. Spectators must sit in their assigned seats to meet the physical distancing requirements.

FACE COVERINGS

Masking is required for all spectators and staff. Masks must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking.

 

CONCESSIONS

Food and drinks must be consumed in your seats. 

CLEANLINESS

Hand sanitizing stations have been added around the concourse of the Hooper Eblen Center, along with the implementation of a frequent cleaning plan in the restrooms and throughout the facility.

SCREENINGS

All Tennessee Tech Athletics employees will wear masks and receive health screenings as they report to work.

 

SMOKE-FREE
FACILITY

Tennessee Tech is a no-smoking and tobacco-free campus. TTU Policy 171 applies to all University buildings and grounds, including the Hooper Eblen Center. This policy is in accordance with TCA 49-7-135.

NO ACCESS

No spectators are allowed in the 12-foot sphere around the court. This is to help protect the student-athletes, coaches, officials and essential staff. The tunnel is for the exclusive use of competing student-athletes, coaches, game officials and essential staff. No entrance or exit through the tunnel.

There is directional and instructional signage posted throughout the facility. Please pay attention and follow while you are at the Hooper Eblen Center.
