COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Scheduled for less than a week before Halloween, Tennessee Tech's seventh annual Purple Palooza will provide fun and excitement for the whole family. This year's Purple Palooza, set for Thursday, Oct. 25, will feature a few added twists, and plans for the event are racing toward the finish line.

The outer concourse of Eblen Center will be filled with booths for youngsters to trick-or-treat, and the limited number of spaces are nearly full.

Community organizations and student groups are asked to sign up now to reserve their booth. Contact Taylor Bain in the Athletics Marketing Department by calling 931-372-3669.

For each booth, Tech will provide a table and two chairs. Organizations are responsible for decorating their booth and providing the candy or treats to hand out.

Prizes will be awarded in both the business category and student organization category for best-decorated booths.

Similar to Midnight Madness but held earlier in the day, Tennessee Tech's Purple Palooza has become an extremely popular family event that showcases the Golden Eagle basketball teams while drawing in kids and adults from throughout the region to participate in the fun.

Admission is free, and all Golden Eagle fans, students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in the festivities.

The trick-or-treating begins at 6 p.m., with the basketball showcase to follow.
