Stephanie earned both All-America and Academic All-America honors as a senior, following a season which also included OVC Player of the Year honors. She led the nation in home runs, slamming an OVC and school record 27 out of the park in Tech's 63 games. She also led the nation in home runs per game and slugging percentage. Fischer led the OVC with a school-record .457 batting average, and also shattered the school record for RBI with 66, She drew a school-record 48 walks and struck out only 11 times.  Fischer established new school career records for most doubles and most RBI, and finished second in career walks and home runs. Fischer signed a free-agent contract with the Rockford (Ill.) Thunder and is currently playing her first season of professional fastpitch softball.
