Larry wrapped up one of the most successful seasons ever produced by a Golden Eagle, earning Second-Team All-America honors as a return specialist and honorable mention All-America as a wide receiver. He was a First-Team All-OVC selection at both positions. He led the team in numerous categories while setting a handful of school records. As a return specialist, he averaged 28.6 yards per kickoff return and returned three for touchdowns, both school and OVC records. As a wide receiver, he had 53 catches for 900 yards and 10 touchdowns. He led the OVC in all-purpose yardage, kickoff returns and touchdowns scored, and ranked second in receiving yards per game. A three-time First-Team All-OVC pick, Shipp wrapped up his career with 195 catches for 2,950 yards and 27 touchdowns, all school records. His 15 touchdowns this season was also a school record. He shared his third consecutive Robert Hill Johnson Award.
